The YMCA welcomes all who wish to participate and believes that no one should be denied membership based on their ability to pay. Through our Financial Assistance Program, we provides membership assistance to youth, adults and families based on individual needs and circumstances.

Committed To Our Community

Determining scholarship amounts is handled by the YMCA in a fair and consistent manner. Every YMCA member receives the same membership benefits, regardless of whether they are receiving a scholarship. YMCA members can feel confident knowing that they are a part of an organization that cares greatly for the well-being of all people, and is committed to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

How To Apply

To apply for Financial Assistance, download and complete the application or stop by the Y and pick up an application. Bring the completed application and the required proof of income to the Welcome Center desk so your application can be processed.

You will need these documents to apply for Financial Assistance:

  1. Federal Tax return for the last fiscal year. If you do not have a copy of your tax return, you may obtain one by contacting the Internal Revenue Service
  2. Copy of Social Security or Disability statement from issuing agency
  3. Copy of unemployment check, child support, or alimony
  4. Documentation of government assistance (rent, ADC, food stamps)

All subsidy applications and personal documents are kept confidential.
